She points her phone camera at the print, the way she would at a menu or a parking sign. The piece on the wall stays what it is. On the screen, the room it came from opens up — the photographs everyone added, the notes they wrote, and the voices of the people who recorded one.

Then she puts the phone down and it is a picture on a wall again.

There is no app. Any phone camera made in the last several years will do it, and if hers will not, the same thing opens from a link.

Only whoever is holding the print, and whoever they choose to show. It is not listed, not searchable, and not shared anywhere by us. The contributions people added are visible in it, which is worth saying out loud to the people you invite.

Because charging more for it would make it a feature, and it is not one. It is what the piece does when the person it is about picks it up. The sizes differ, and so does how many people can add to it — that is the choice.
